The Clothes Throw 2010

RAFFLE TICKETS - FANTASTIC PRIZES   

We are having a raffle leading up to our fashion event 'The Clothes Throw' which will be drawn on 8th October at the event. We are looking for volunteers to sell these raffle tickets leading up to the event (over 18 years old to sell or buy tickets) 100% goes to Alder Hey Imagine Appeal and the volunteer who sells the most tickets will win a Big Booze Hamper! Types of places these can be sold are in your workplace, to friends and family or in a shop (if you have the owner's permission). Tickets can not be sold in the street. If you would like to help and think you might have an outlet we would love to hear from you. There are some fantastic prizes up for grabs so we're hoping they will fly out!

Tickets come in books of ten. A book costs £10 or tickets can be sold separately at £1 each. Volunteers will be assigned book numbers and if you don't sell all of your books they can be returned back to us no later than 17.09.2010. Contact Rachel 0151 252 5364 to buy or sell tickets.

Musical Theatre Summer School

TrEAD (Training in Expressive Arts & Drama) is based in Childwall and caters for students aged 7-18 years. The school runs on a weekly basis offering training in all elements of the performing arts. TrEAD is run by actress Helen Noble (Hollyoaks 2000-2005) and West End Musical Theatre actor Graham Tudor (Mamma Mia, Joseph, Grease) and the two-hour sessions are all taught by industry professionals who have all had extensive experience in Theatre, Film and Television.

This Summer, TrEAD will be holding a Musical Theatre Summer School from Monday 9th August - Friday 13th August 2010. Children of all abilities are welcome to sign up for the five-day course working towards a final performance on the Friday evening. The performance will be called 'WEST END STORY'. This is a production involving a selection of famous West End musicals. Each day the students will work on a different musical focusing on all the disciplines of performance required for Musical Theatre. On the Friday evening, the students will present their performance to an audience of family and friends in aid of the Alder Hey Imagine Appeal.  


The Lord Mayor's Charity Appeal

The Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Councillor Hazell Williams, has chosen the Alder Hey IMAGINE Appeal - Neurosciences as one of her three charities to be supported by the Lord Mayor's Charity Appeal during her year in office. Over the next 12 months there will be many fundraising events held in aid of the Appeal. 

Lord Mayor of Liverpool Christmas Masked Ball

The Lord Mayor of Liverpool Councillor Hazel Williams is holding a Christmas Masked Ball on Saturday 11th December at the prestigious Liverpool Town Hall. The tickets for tables of 10 guests will be priced at £45, musical interludes will be included. The ticket price includes a drinks reception, three course dinner and entertainment by Liverpool's own Wedding Singer - Marcus Keith. All money raised through the evening will benefit the Lord Mayors 3 chosen charities Alder Hey Imagine Appeal - Neurosciences and Surgical Department, Help for Heroes and Mencap Liverpool.
